Olympics, Here We Come!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...maybe not yet but as of tonight, we are headed in the right direction!!! Carter has been in kick and gym (karate and gymnastics) for a little over two years now. They really concentrated more on karate than gym but he really liked it. Anyway, after taking the 1st quarter class off, we came back to find a new coach. He's great!!! We did the 2nd quarter with him and Carter really likes him. He's really good with the kids. Anyway, after enrolling for the 3rd quarter and a week before it started, we got a phone call from one of the head coaches for the boys competition team gymnastics. His karate coach (Coach Corey) recommended Carter to the other coaches and they asked Carter to come and tryout for their 'Hot Shots' team. This is a pre-team that is available by invitation only to 6 and 7 yr. olds. They prepare boys to compete when they get older. Coach Corey told the head coach... "has some awesome talent and he is well behaved (my favorite) and has the perfect attitude"...Coach Sam. They are super impressed with his flexibility and strength. We found out tonight after 3 training sessions that Carter has been accepted to the Hot Shots team!!! He will train at the competitive gym 2 days a week for and hour and a half each time. He is SO excited and I have to say...I'm a pretty proud Momma!!! Below are some pics of Carter in training...

  4. Please remember that I was the first to say that he's headed to the Olympics:) And not just because of his talent....his determination! Maybe you should just have one child after all since it's gonna take money!!! Congratulations Carter!!!! Maybe Wooderson Seed can be a proud sponsor.
